November 2008 - Adelaide Hills Wine Show results
One Trophy, One Gold, One Silver & Four Bronze Awards
At the prestigious Adelaide Hills Regional Wine Show lunch, held on 28th November, competing against the best Adelaide Hills Sparkling wines, Pinot Gris and other dry white varieties, our 2008 Frolic White - Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc was awarded the Trophy for the Best Other White Wine for 2008. The award was presented by Simon Joy from the award sponsor Laffort Australia.
We received awards in six of the 13 commercial classes

Our 2005 Cabernet Franc won the Consumer Judges trophy @ the Hyatt/ Advertiser SA Wine of the Year awards 2008 in the “other red” category.
We have received a bronze award for our 05 Cabernets blend at the Boutique Wine Awards 2008.

We will be implementing stage three of the cellar door development this spring, including Patio paving, new toilet block and commercial kitchen, insulation and re-cladding of some iron work.
Crush 09 Wine Festival has now been moved to the January Australia day weekend. We will hold a degustation twilight dinner (Wine Up). Sunday 25th is the Crush Festival Day: food by Chingari, entertainment by Wonderland. Monday 26th Wine Down @ the cellar door with Urban Jo and sumptuous food.

What a month....HV wins "best SA Rose" at the Hyatt/Advertiser Wine of the Year awards...more details here. Work is well underway with our recent renovations and the landscaped lawns are already looking fantastic in Spring. Come up to our cellar door in the beatiful Adelaide Hills on the first weekend of spring for the release of our 2007 vintage wines. Come and try our very first Rose, which has already won a bronze medal at July's Boutique Wine Awards. Great food and music too. Many more details here.
