2021 Howard Vineyard Amos Chardonnay 

The worlds most popular white wine. Chardonnay is traditionally well suited to cool climate wine regions making the Adelaide Hills the perfect area to grow it in. Chardonnay represents more then 1/3 of the total grapes grown in the Adelaide Hills.

When enjoyed young, Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills tends to show characters of lemon, lime and white peach. The best Chardonnays also show more developed characters such as subtle char, nuts and richness from the time in oak barrels.

This wine pairs well with food given the high natural acidity. It is particularly well matched to creamy pastas, chicken and Seafood with butter sauces.

On the nose you will find luscious aromas of white blossom, lemon curd and fresh stone fruit, complimented by notes of brioche and hints of spring blossom.

The wine delivers flavours of lemon zest, stone fruit and blossom. These primary characters are then complimented with a nutty, vanilla-cream character from the use of the new French oak. A lemon compote flavour lingers on the palate producing a well-balanced prime example of a cool climate Chardonnay.
