Rich dark berries, black cherry, blueberry and plum aromas, while also showing hints of spice; a vineyard characteristic. Oak characters also show through, clove, chocolate and vanilla.  Delicious intense dark fruits, red cherry, blueberry, blackberry and plum.  This wine is well balanced and finishes with silky tannin.

2022 Howard Vineyard Amos Shiraz

SHIRAZ:  An expressive red wine grape that produces a bold wine with an intense flavor profile and complex tasting notes. It is one of the most planted grapes in Australia.  Shiraz features a beautiful deep-red hue with an intense flavor and a bold palate of black pepper, dark fruit, rich red fruit, and earthy flavors.

On the nose, it has a strong blackberry and oak aroma with faint hints of ripe fruit. On the palate, Shiraz wine has a beautiful length that is characterised by tobacco, black olives, red fruit, and earthy flavors of truffle, and coffee.

Vineyard: Clover Farm (Mount Barker) Block 2  Elevation: 380-410 AMSL

Winemaking: Long cold soak prior to primary fermentation in 5 ton open top fermenters. Ferments were run hot. Hand plunged, 02 speared and foot stomped. Basket pressed. 18 months in 25% new French oak and 50% 2nd use French oak.
