Vineyard: Blows Vineyard, Macclesfield
Elevation: 270 AMSL
Winemaking: Gordo Clone Sangiovese. 25% whole berry ferments ran hot and naturally. Hand plunged twice per day with pump overs, ensuring maximum oxygen for healthy yeast and soft pick up of colour and tannin. Aged in new and old French oak for 3 months. Vegan Friendly, minimal So2 added.
Nose: Cherry, strawberry and perfumed musk, Chinese 5 spice and and savory herbs
Palate: A delicious combination of fruit and savoury characters. Dark cherry, fresh cut rhubarb, earthiness finish with delightfully soft tannins.
