It’s savoury, juicy, spicy and inviting all at once, complemented beautifully by sprays of herbs and fresh cut flowers. Fresh raspberry and strawberry combine nicely with a mineral character finishing dry and textural.
2024 Howard Vineyard Cabernet Franc Rose
ROSE: While it’s produced similarly to other red wines, the time it ferments with grape skins is cut shorter. This reduced skin contact is what gives rosé its signature pink color. Winemakers are now creating serious wines in a wide spectrum of styles, from pale and crisp to complex, character-filled, textural examples to enjoy across seasons.
Rosé is also synonymous with great weather and good times – there’s nothing like a glass of rosé to complement get-togethers in the sunshine. But with its rising quality and increasingly versatile styles, rosé offers more than an aesthetic and a cheery summer wine. Winemakers are now creating serious wines in a wide spectrum of styles, from pale and crisp to complex, character-filled, textural examples to enjoy across seasons.
Vineyard: Clover Farm, Mt Barker (Block 9) Planted in 1998. Elevation: 380-410 AMSL. Optimum yields are approximately 6 tonnes per hectare.

2024 Howard Vineyard Cabernet Franc Rose is an absolute delight with Crispy Prawn Sando, pickled beetroot, salmon roe, grana pandano.
