Vineyard: Clover Farm (Mount Barker)
Elevation: 380-410 AMSL
Winemaking: Picked early in the morning, keeping the full berries intact for partial carbonic maceration. Gentle foot stomping and oxygen spearing. Basket pressed and then placed into large 500L French oak barrels for 9 months. A fresh early release style.
Nose: Vibrant aromas of black fruits, blueberries, black cherry and black currant. Followed up by a spicy hit of white pepper.
Palate: Luscious palate of fresh black fruits. Black currant, plum and dark cherries. The palate is delicate with soft tanning and great intensity of flavour with hints of toasty caramel and a spicy finish.
