Winemaking: Estate grown in our Lobethal vineyard ‘Schoenthal’. Picked early from low yielding vines and at night to preserve fruit quality. 100% Pinot Noir, mixed clones D5V12, 777, 115 and 114. Cold fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation. Barrel aged in new and used French oak for 6 months previously conditioned with Pinot Noir.
Story: Our newest release to the Howard Vineyard Clover range. Our Schoenthal vineyard is a premium site for Pinot Noir at close to 470m above sea level and cooler than average temperatures. These conditions enable the Adelaide Hills to produce great sparkling wines.
Taste: Raspberries, cherry and strawberries and cream greet your palate. Savoury red fruits with slight oak complexity leave the palate fresh and dry with a textural finish. Vibrant salmon hue.
